The
song that I chose for today is “欺騙觀眾” by Nicholas Tse. The direct English
translation of the title is “Lying to the audience”.
The
lyrics of the song are about the protagonist wanted to breakup, but they don’t
want other people to know about it and make a big issue out of it. So at the beginning
of the song, the protagonist said he need to keep smiling, so that it could
block his tears from coming out. No matter how drunk he wanted to pretend to
have a clear mind. Please don’t yell or become silence, as this is needed to
avoid others knowing, which will mess up everything. He feels that the
happiness feels funny. He knows that his friends are thinking which of them
just got dump. So he decided to acts with his girlfriend, to tell everyone that
everything is ok, so that others will stop talking about them. He also this acting
so that the relationship would remain with a better image in his head. With
this, even if they breakup, they could easily handle it. The next step is to
cry and smile, he hopes that this will not become another guessing game. He
knows that there is no need for him to make a decision now. But he realised
that no matter what he does, it seems to become important in others eyes. Hope
