1st Jan 2013 (替你高興 – Kay Tse)

Happy New Year!!! Wish you all will have a great 2014!! Today I chose the song “替你高興” by Kay Tse. The direct English translation of the title is “Happy for you”.

The lyrics of the song are about the protagonist is trying to think positive for her friend who had just passed away. Although it doesn’t quite match with today, but it mention that passing away is not all that bad, as her friend now on longer need to suffer and will live happily in the holy land. I hope that our 2014 will be like the holy land that the song describes: no fighting, no bitter, but only forgiveness and happiness. The song begins with the protagonist said to her friend to lay down, and start her journey, try not to think about this place too much. The sickness that he had before made him sad and weak. She is willing to  carry him for his last journey and carry his worries and help him to calm down. He can finally step over his worries and step into haven to pick up his happiness again. In the holy land, no one would need to do the hard work, there are no failures and nothing is wrong. There is only forgiveness, no fighting and no bitterness. There is no speed, he can slowly fall into sleep. The land that we live in just love to fight, we built our own fortress. We fight for victory blindly. Today he finished his duty, paid all our debts, so she is glad that he could finally move on. Say goodbye to worries, there are no need to cry. Now stepping into haven, moving to your new home. . In the holy land, no one would need to do the hard work, there are no failures and nothing is wrong. There is only forgiveness, no fighting and no best of the world. There is no speed, he can slowly fall into sleep. Every night, she feels sad when she think about he had passed away, but she also feels happy to think that he reached haven. In this land, no one would need to do the hard work, there are no failures and nothing is wrong. There is only forgiveness, no fighting and no bitterness. There is no speed, he can slowly fall into sleep, getting drunk happily. Hope you will like the song.
