A Song a day: 5th Sep 2012 (愁人節

The song that I chose for today is “愁人節” by Kay Tse. This song came out in 2006. The direct translation of the title is “sorrow day”. In Chinese, most people would be reminded Valentine day by the title because Valentine day in Chinese is “情人節”, which is only differ by 1 word.

The lyrics of the song are not just anti Valentine day, in fact it is about the damage of a celebration holiday (such as Valentine day, Christmas and New year eve) on the society. It talks about how in these holiday, we spent our time with our love one, giving gifts to our friends and hosting party. But there are so many people in the world don’t even have enough to make their day to day need. So there shouldn’t be any holiday that we need to celebrate, because none of these holidays can save our world. Hope you will like the song.
