The
song for today is “生日快樂” by Grace Ip. This song is also
sing by Eric Kwok, the song writer and Grace’s husband. I think Grace is the
original singer, but I guess most people are more familiar with Eric’s version.
Both versions are quite different in feeling, while Grace’s version sounds more
sad, Eric’s version sounds more happy (but note that the lyrics are different).
The direct English translation of the
title is “Happy birthday”.
The
lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist said that at dawn, the glass
broke and the candle is blow offed like the air has all burned out. The perfume
that she put on, is now all turned into steam. Even if it was very strong, she
