The song that I chose for today is “盼那天再步近” by Cass Pang. The direct English translation of the title is “Wish that day could be closer”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist said that tonight is so quiet, the song of wind is gone, and we have said goodbye to rain. She wishes that she could experience it again, but yesterday was gone without a trace; as if that beautiful story never happened. Last time, he didn’t make a sound, lighted his cigarettes and turn off the light. That breath in and out, very proficient and fierce. She never told him how sad she felt, she waited and waited. She is still thinking the kiss that he gave her that mixed with cigarette flavour; in that it mixed with his kindness and also sadness that he bought on her. Without him, she doesn’t feel stable. So that kiss that he gave her last night, she realised that she got excited when the air is full of his smell. Addicted in imagination, so attractive; she wishes that the day when everything ends could be closer. Tonight, a new beginning. There is no crying, and she felt closer to laughter. That clock is ticking away her time, she realised that she again wasted this night on being sad. She wishes that she could be with him and become a happy couple. But being together, they would regret day by day, then they would realised that they will be serious again. She again thought of that kiss mixed with cigarette, in that it mixed with his kindness and also sadness that he bought on her. Without him, she doesn’t feel stable. So that kiss that he gave her last night, she realised that she got excited when the air is full of his smell.
